SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 30

Congratulating Kelly L. George for being selected West Virginia's Mother of the Year 1997-1998, by the American Mothers, Inc.

Whereas, Kelly L. George is from Cabell County, West Virginia, was educated in public schools and attended Marshall College, Huntington, West Virginia, Cambridge School of Radio and Television and Drake School of Drama in New York; and
Whereas, Kelly L. George, a legislative analyst, active in the political process, is a strong advocate of education and the arts; and
Whereas, Kelly L. George is the mother of five successful young adults, Vincent, Victor, Valerie, Von and Vanessa, who have followed in her constant endeavor for high academic accomplishments and achievements and have continued her spiritual foundations for building inner strength as well as the basis for strong family values; and
Whereas, Kelly L. George is very active outside the role of mother, volunteering her time for civic organizations, is a life member of General Federation of Women's Clubs and the National Committee of State Garden Clubs, serves as international chair for the Pilot International World Association and is a historian and author; and
Whereas, Kelly L. George will travel this spring to Scottsdale, Arizona, to meet with the delegation of other state winners and receive this most prestigious award; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That Kelly L. George be congratulated for being selected as West Virginia's Mother of the Year, 1997-1998; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to Kelly L. George and her family.
